Airport Drug Smuggling Case Referred for Further Hearings

The First High Criminal Court has continued proceedings against an African man accused of attempting to smuggle narcotics into Bahrain through Bahrain International Airport.
Customs officers allegedly discovered more than 2kg of suspected cocaine and 850 grams of suspected marijuana hidden inside two suitcases. The defendant denied knowledge of the contents, while investigations linked the case to suspected drug trafficking activity.
