Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa’s Mosque opened

Deputised by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, yesterday patronised the opening of the expanded late HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa’s Mosque in Budaiya.

President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), Dr Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri, and a number of dignitaries and citizens from Budaiya were present. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for deputising him to open the mosque’s expansion project.

He also conveyed to them greetings from HRH Premier, as well as his congratulations to them on the inauguration of the project, implemented as part of the Prime Minister’s keenness to take care of houses of worship so that they could carry out their noble mission of spreading the values of Islam and cementing national cohesion.

The governor asserted that the expansion of the mosque reflects HRH Premier’s unwavering interest in developing and expanding mosques across the kingdom, commensurate with the citizens’ needs. He affirmed that taking care of mosques and their development are basic in the Government Action Plan, extending congratulations to the Budaiya inhabitants on the opening of the iconic mosque.


Those present extended deepest thanks and gratitude to HRH the Prime Minister for his orders to expand the mosque, thus reflecting his constant keenness on meeting the needs of the citizens, as well as his constant interest in developing houses of worship so as to be able to carry out their role to the fullest.

They prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless HRH the Prime Minister with abundant good health. They lauded HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali’s interest in the project and constant follow-up on its progress, noting that he spares no effort to implement all projects and initiatives aimed at meeting their needs in various fields.
