GCC Cooperation Gains Momentum

Bahrain's parliamentary leaders have highlighted the progress of joint GCC action and the role of the Made in GCC Forum and Exhibition 2026 in strengthening economic, industrial and commercial cooperation among Gulf countries.
Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, said joint GCC action has achieved significant progress with the support of the leaders of GCC countries. He said Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, continues to support initiatives aimed at strengthening Gulf integration, development and prosperity.
Al Musallam also highlighted His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's, support for advancing joint GCC cooperation, particularly in the commercial and industrial sectors.
He said the Made in GCC Forum and Exhibition, being held in Bahrain for the first time under the patronage of HM the King, reflects a shared Gulf vision and unified priorities. He described the event as an important development in joint GCC action and expressed hope that it would contribute to further strengthening cooperation.
Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh said the forum and exhibition would deepen Gulf partnerships and create opportunities for factories, companies and commercial and industrial institutions to expand cooperation, innovation and investment.
Al Saleh said hosting the event for the first time in Bahrain reflects the Kingdom's strategic commercial position. He also praised HM the King's support for GCC integration and cooperation, as well as HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad's efforts to advance government programmes and policies supporting economic, commercial and industrial cooperation among GCC countries.
He said stronger cooperation would help enhance competitiveness, innovation and development across the Gulf's industrial, commercial and investment sectors.
