The 2026-2027 His Majesty the King's Football Cup gets underway tonight with two first-round fixtures between First Division sides.
Busaiteen face Qalali at Al Ahli Club Stadium, with both teams searching for their first win of the season after identical starts to their league campaigns.
Each has collected one point from their opening two matches, drawing one and losing one.
At Al Najma Club Stadium, Tadhamun take on Ettihad Al Reef following contrasting starts to the First Division season.
Tadhamun head into the cup tie with a perfect record after winning both of their opening league matches, while Ettihad Al Reef are yet to pick up a point following two defeats.
Bahrain's premier knockout competition celebrates its 50th edition this season, with Muharraq entering as defending champions after beating Riffa 2-1 in last season's final.
Last year's competition carried a BD100,000 prize for the champions and BD50,000 for the runners-up, although prize money for this year's edition has yet to be announced.
Muharraq are the most successful club in the tournament's history with 34 titles. Previously known as the Emir Cup and Federation Cup before adopting its current King's Cup name in 2003, the competition has seen the Red Wolves claim 20 titles in the modern era.
