Official reviews infra projects

Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayat, visited Demistan, Al Lawzi, Karzakan, Al Malkiya, Sadad, Al Safriya and Shahrakan yesterday to review ongoing projects. He was accompanied by MP Mahmood Makki Al Bahrani, who is representing the Northern 12th constituency, Northern Municipality Council Member Zainab Mahmood Al Durazi, Chairman of the Northern Municipality Council Ahmed Al Koheji as well as specialists from the roads and sanitary sectors, and the Municipal Co-ordination and Development Unit.

The Undersecretary stated that these meetings are part of the instructions of the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Essam Khalaf, to keep in touch with the citizens’ complaints and the suggestions of Municipal Councils members across Bahrain for the public good. Mr Al Khayat discussed a number of complaints regarding the roads and sanitary sectors.

The Undersecretary emphasised to the engineers of the roads and sanitary sectors the importance of studying these complaints and suggestions, follow up on them and prioritise the urgent ones based on what is required for the public good. The lawmaker and people’s representatives thanked the Undersecretary of Works Affairs and the team of the ministry’s engineers for constantly keeping in touch with the complaints of citizens, and for always seeking to fulfil their needs.
