Al Namal Group to contribute BD417,380 to Kerala Relief Fund
Bahrain-based businessman Dr. Varghese Kurian has said that Al Namal-VKL Group will contribute eight crore rupees (nearly BD417,380) towards the relief works in the flood-hit Kerala.
The company has contributed two crore rupees to the Kerala Chief Ministers Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) and another six crore rupees will be earmarked for relief efforts spearheaded by the company. The company will contribute to the rebuilding of the houses in the villages of Chittar, Seethathodu in Pathanamthitta district.
The company will also provide household equipment to 6,000 families hit by the floods in Ranni area in Kerala.
