Smuggling drugs into jail: Plea verdict date set
Two brothers who smuggled drugs into prison will learn the fate of their appeals on October 28, 2018. The duo was earlier sentenced to five years behind prison each for their crime.
One of them, aged 34, was already in prison serving a 10-year sentence for drug peddling and is also standing trial for allegedly smuggling a kilo of hashish into Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway. His 23-year-old brother was caught on camera trying to pass him methadone and amphetamine pills during a visit at Jau Prison.
He had smuggled drugs into prison by keeping it in his mouth.
