Minister visits Halat Bu Maher development project
Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Essam Khalaf, yesterday paid an inspection visit to Muharraq’s Halat Bu Maher Block 216 to learn about the progress in the development project ongoing there.
The minister said the Block 216 development project is part of the ministry’s comprehensive plans to upgrade Bahrain’s old streets that have reached their lifetimes. He welcomed the task forces’ efforts to complete the construction work by the end of July 2019, praising the cooperation between Muharraq Municipal Council and citizens in the interest of public interest.
He added the development works include main streets, infrastructure, an organization of intersections between B roads, the establishment of rainwater drainage networks and modernization of lighting network. He noted the ministry’s efforts to provide a public parking to address the increasing number of cars.
