Interior Minister Lt. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday led the police funeral prayers for the two martyrs, who lost their lives in Sitra bomb blast on July 28, atthe headquarters of Ministry of Interior (MoI). The prayer was held after Dhuhr prayers.

During the prayer, the Minister offered condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for their souls to rest in peace. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Shaikh Rashid said that the perpetrators of the crime would face legal action. “The criminals deserve death penalty, which should be a lesson for those who intend to carry out such criminal acts.”
“Today we bid farewell to two of our policemen, who took the road of martyrdom and responded to the call of duty. The blood they have shed will remain as a guiding example for generations and a bright page in the nation's history,” the Minister added.
