Youth cyclists set for Asia Cup

Bahrain’s youth cycling team will compete in the Track Asia Cup 2026, which gets underway today in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hassan Thamer and Mohammed Hassan Jawad will represent the Kingdom at the three-day event, running from August 28 to 30 at the Huamark Velodrome.
The UCI Class 1 competition has attracted 38 national, club and regional teams. Riders from Australia, Bahrain, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Uzbekistan are set to take part.
The event also offers valuable UCI ranking points towards qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
