69th Open Tennis: Asfoor to face Anacin in singles finals
Manama : Asfoor to take on Anacin in the Men’s singles finals of the 69 th Open Tennis championship.
Ronald Anacin had a tough outing against Cassius Pereira in the Men’s Semis winning 7-5, 3-6, 10-3.
Asfoor beat Ricson Rebello in the Other Men’s Semis 6-1, 6-1.
Meanwhile in the Super Doubles, Redha brothers Elias and Hasan downed Qued brothers Yusuf and Omar 6-3, 6-3.
In another Super Doubles, Janji Saquino and Jeriocho Bohol got a walkover from Essam Abdul Aal and Hamad Abdul Aal.
In the late Men’s Doubles played on Tuesday night Somanathan and Teddy Rabara caused the biggest upset of the tournament by beating Ronald Anacin and Cassius Pereira 6-3, 5-7, 8-10 and will face Asfoor and John K. in the semi-finals
In the Super Doubles played late on Tuesday Emirisk and Hiddiesels downed the tandem of Karim Abdul Redha and Rashid Obadily in a very tough contest 7-5, 7-6.
