Dana Al Dossari triumphs
Manama : Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossari was crowned by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, as the winner of the Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Cup.
The 120 km event took place in Bahrain International Village, featuring a wide participation. The victor, Al Dossari completed the race in 04:38:55 hours, travelling at a speed of 25 km/hour.
Hia Jamal (04:38:55) clinched second place in the race, while third place went to Mayoof Al Romaihi.
In the Public Cup, Mohammed Hilal Al Khateri triumphed after clocking in 4:52:40 hours. Abdullah Janahi (5:02:42) and Mohammed bin Mubarak (05:12:26) finished second and third respectively.
From his part, HH Shaikh Nasser praised the performances displayed in the race, expressing optimism at the future of the horse endurance sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain following the outstanding results achieved in this event. He congratulated the winners in the event, applauding those involved in organising the event.
Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, , Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), President of BREEF, hailed the support and follow up of HH Shaikh Nasser to the endurance sport, stating that such backing has contributed to the success of this event.
