Partnerships key to beat challenges: Deputy King

Manama : Deputy King, His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday honoured the winners of the Third edition of the ‘Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship’ highlighting the need to form strategic public and private partnerships to “overcome economic challenges facing regional markets”.

The partnerships, Prince Salman said, should “focus on stimulating non-oil sector growth, attracting investments and boosting local economies.”

The event, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness, celebrates the achievements of the Kingdom’s leading entrepreneurs.

Terming private sector as one of the main pillars supporting the overall economic growth of the Kingdom, HRH Prince Salman said that the initiatives such as the Annual Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship are “vital to the Kingdom’s development”.

“It is through human creativity and innovation that nations such as Bahrain create promising opportunities,” said Prince Salman expressing his pride in the achievements and determination of Bahraini entrepreneurs.
