Futsal League: Team Movement win 6-2

Manama : On the second day of competition, the Movement Disability Team defeated Bahrain Disability Challenging Youth Society 6-2 in Group 1 of the Disabled Teams Competition of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at the Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.

The Hearing Disability Team beat the Friendship Society for the Blind Team by 3-2 in Group 2.

In its second match of the day, the Movement Disability Team won 8-2 against Bahrain Catalysts Association, while The Special Olympics Team were 4-0 winners over the Hearing Disability Team 4-0.

In other matches, the Deaf Team defeated the Disability Challenging Team 4-1 and Bahrain Society for the Deaf won 7-2 against the Friendship Society for the Blind 7-2 in the final match of the day.

The results completed the semi-final line-up made up of the Movement Disability Team, the Deaf Team, the Special Olympics Team and Bahrain Society for the Deaf.

The organising committee honoured six players for their exceptional performance and contribution to the victory of their teams in the six matches of the day and the eight participating teams in a ceremony attended by MPs Jamal Buhassan and Abbas Al-Madhi and other guests. 

Al Junoob Youth Centre team presented a shield to the organising committee thanking Shaikh Khalid for patronising the league and support for the Bahraini youth and sports. The shield was received by Ali Al-Arabi, the Director of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League from the administration of the centre.

This tournament is being played under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities and organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.
