Long-time Bahrain resident passed away
Manama : A long-time Bahrain resident Pullakkudiyil George Joseph (61) has passed away in his hometown in India yesterday.
He was an employee in the maintenance wing of the Sheraton Hotel Bahrain for around 40 years.
His wife Betty is former staff nurse at American Mission Hospital in Manama. After retiring a few years ago the family settled in their hometown in Thrissur district of the Indian state of Kerala. George Joseph’s brother Jacob Pullakudiyil and sister Molly Alex are working in Bahrain. He is survived by his children Begena George Pradeep (Online News Editor, News of Bahrain), Jiby George (Al Hawaj - Samsung Bahrain) and Amy George (Netherlands). 4PM News Managing Editor Pradeep Puravankara, Chicku John (SPAC Bahrain), Freddy Antony (Netherlands) are in-laws. Funeral will take place on Friday 2pm at Elanad St Mary’s Orthodox Church cemetery in his hometown.
