In the spirit of the game
Manama : His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, met with the President of the Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, on the occasion of his visit to the country, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, the President of Bahrain Athletics Association.
His Highness welcomed the Chechen President and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, he emphasised Bahrain’s keenness to promote and develop constructive cooperation with the Chechen Republic in various fields.
The leaders discussed means of supporting and developing relations between the two friendly countries, increasing opportunities for cooperation in all fields. The meeting also dealt with several topics of mutual interest. Moreover, Shaikh Nasser presented to the Chechen President the horses participating in endurance races, and the strategy that the Kingdom follows to preserve them.
The President also witnessed part of the training of the Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts Team (KHK MMA), where HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented a demonstration on the team and its international participations and achievements. The President also met with some members of the Team of Chechen nationality.
For his part, the President of the Republic of Chechnya stressed his country’s keenness to strengthen the bonds of cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields, reflecting positively on the mutual interests of the two peoples, praising the comprehensive development witnessed by the Kingdom in various fields. Shaikh Nasser held a dinner banquet in honour of the President of the Republic of Chechnya and his accompanying delegation.
