Jaafari Endowments hold meeting with Muezzins

Jaafari Endowments held an urgent meeting with Muezzins of mosques yesterday to inform them of the security procedures in various governorates of the Kingdom.
Jaafari Endowments acting director Abdullah Sheikh, under the guidance Chairman Shaikh Mohsen Al Asfoor, has intensified the administration on its efforts to cooperate with all public and private bodies concerned with the safety of worshipers attending mosques, Shia mosques, congregation halls and funerals which is a major priority for all.
The Jaafri Endowments administration formed a committee to coordinate with governorates, by involving its protection and communication with mosques and funerals. "We are keen to secure the needs of mosques and funerals and inform them of the guidelines, as well as the implementation of trusted volunteers to ensure the objective of securing the mosques," it said.
During the meeting, muezzins (prayer callers) were informed of the instructions by the administration, and that includes new measures to regulate the closing and opening of mosques, including the abolition of women's prayers in all temporarily mosques until further notice, and the opening of the mosque half-an-hour before prayer, and closing of the mosque an hour after prayer.
Muezzins were instructed to ensure that no foreign or strange party enters the mosque before prayer and they were urged to ensure coordination and communication with security agencies to enforce safety measures and prevent any outside threat.
For his part, the representative of the Northern governorate, Nabil Al Ajmi enabled registration of volunteers from people of the cities and villages in the governorate to protect the mosques. They were also informed of precautionary and preventive measures to protect the worshipers and places of worship.
