Deputy King hails long-standing Bahrain-UK bilateral relations

Manama : Deputy King HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday highlighted the long-standing ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, as he received a delegation from the Bahrain-United Kingdom Friendship Society, led by Peter Sincock, at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, Prince  Salman stated that the two countries have aligned their policy positions on various issues, which is crucial to continue strengthening relations across all sectors.

In this regard, Prince Salman emphasised the importance placed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Queen Elizabeth II on the 200th anniversary of Bahrain-UK relations.

The Deputy King also underscored the importance of exchanging visits in further reinforcing these ties, and stressed the role played by various organisations and institutions in further developing relations.

Prince Salman also praised the activities and the programmes the Society has participated in and initiated.

On behalf of the Society, Sincock appreciated the Deputy King on the unwavering support provided to them for the development of Bahrain-UK ties.
