Citizens’ voice is heard in every matter: HRH Premier

Manama: Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stated that there are no imposed opinions or actions in Bahrain, stressing the voice of the citizens is heard in every matter.

“Our society is based on Shura (consultation), democracy and freedoms of opinion and expression,” the Premier explained.

The Prime Minister also confirmed that countries are not measured by their size, but by their stances and achievements, noting that Bahrain is strong by its approach and landmark achievements.

“I feel comfortable only when I am with my people, and my happiness lies in its satisfaction. Therefore, I am always delighted to meet the citizens and listen to them. Our utmost goal is to serve the nation and the citizens,” Prince Khalifa said.

HRH Premier made the statements while receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday a number of Royal Family members, senior state officials, journalists, columnists and businessmen.

The Prime Minister called on the private sector to invest in the medical and health fields by attracting world health centres and advanced rehabilitation centres to open branches in the Kingdom.

The Premier highlighted the continuous expansion of the health and medical sector in the Kingdom, stressing the need to establish rehabilitation centres, develop national competencies and build more hospitals to meet the needs of the citizens and residents.

Bahrain’s comprehensive development strides have proved to the world its ability to overcome challenges and build a vital and sustainable development model, based on the muscles of Bahrainis, Prince Khalifa explained.

HRH Premier stressed that the Kingdom’s successes should be a catalyst to build on the hard-won accomplishments and ensure a better future for its citizens.

The Kingdom’s multiple development projects and success in attracting more foreign investments, as well as the private sector’s unwavering ability to invest in various production and urban sectors indicate the economy’s ability to overcome challenges, HRH Premier added.
