Rock Star surpass Alpha Fire

Manama : Rock Star edged out Alpha Fire Bahrain by 12 runs in the latest matches of the Young Blaster sponsored BCL-CBA Golden League 25 Overs Tournament at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.

Batting first, Rock Star made 148 for six with Sadakath (52) and Kiran (36) the main scorers and Thushara (four for 34) the best of the bowlers.

In reply, Alpha Fire were dismissed for 136 with Ruvinda (60) top scoring and Jerin (five for 29) the pick of the bowlers.

In another match, Al Hekma beat Hurricane CC by four wickets after the latter scored a decent 181 for seven thanks to good knocks by Shafeek (33) and Vijay (32) with Azi (two for 36) the best of the bowlers.

Al Hekma then reached the target scoring 182 for six spearheaded by Khader (56), Fawad (41) and Tabreez (39) with Siju (two for 29) returning the best bowling figures.

Riffa Star 136/9 in 21.4 overs (Ranjeet 39, Nafees 33, Abrar 3/30) bt GT Abdulaal 133 all out (Shyjal 24, Nafees 3/26, Ranjeet 3/22) by 1 wicket.     

Ahmed Zayani 240/4 (Anoop 87, Suresh 31) bt Young Blaster 56 all out (Tewnan 17, Anil 3/7) by 184 runs. 

Fateh Curtain 87/3 in 16.2 overs (Yasir 36, Naeem 2/15) bt Lions XI 85 all out (Nabeel 38, Arslan 6/14) by 7 wickets.
