Isb prepares for biggest school carnival in GCC

Manama: The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Mega Fair 2016, which will be held on April 29 and 30 in the school campus in Isa Town, is going to be one of the biggest school carnivals in the Gulf countries.  The Mega Fair and Food Festival will be a celebration of the Indian ethos, the characteristic spirit of its culture manifested by the diverse ethnic communities in this era through   its food habits, dress styles and above all the rich traditions of this great nation, said the Indian School Chairman Prince S Natarajan.   This carnival will also be an occasion for the school to show case the nation’s advances in science and technology along with the talents of its students. 

The proceeds from the event will be utilized for the welfare of the students and staff. The two-day carnival includes music, dance performances, food festival, games stalls along with a special exhibition of electronic and IT products and services.  

‘Once again ISB’ the theme song of the ISB Mega Fair and Food Festival 2016, presented by Mamta Mohandas a leading Indian film actress and play back singer with leading Music director Gopi Sundar,   has created waves in the social media in Bahrain. 

The star attractions of the Mega Fair will be Indian  playback singers   Shilpa Rao, Vipin Aneja, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Akhila Anand and Arun Raj who will perform live to entertain the audiences on both days.

The ISB  takes pride in being a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools (UNESCO ASPnet) which aims to instill in  students the notion of ‘Sustainable development and Environment’.  As part of the mega event, the Indian School Students’ Exhibition will highlight this theme, in a very meaningful way, the knowledge gained in the class rooms in the form of exhibits and experiments displaying their talents and skills to the visitors. 

Many other events will be lined up to take place in the Indian School with spectacular performances by our students, play back singers and artists from the Indian film arena. A light and sound show will enhance the beauty of the festivities. 

The raffle cum entry ticket of the Mega Fair was launched in the presence of the General Convener   G K Nair, the Executive Committee members led   Chairman   Prince S. Natarajan,  Principal   V. R Palaniswamy along with many business and community leaders   in the school. The first Prize for the raffle   is a   Mitsubishi Outlander sponsored by Zayani Motors.

Stalls may be booked for which a few prime location stalls and ordinary location stalls are available.  The organizers said interested individuals or companies who would like to support this noble cause are welcome to take stalls and may contact   M.
