Man held for peddling drugs
Manama: A Bahraini man has appeared in the dock, facing accusations of peddling drugs in Amwaj Island. The man was caught in a sting operation while trying to hand over unlawful drugs to an undercover police officer.
This came after a tip-off about him was sent to the Anti-Narcotic Department at the Ministry of Interior. The defendant is said to have accepted to sell drugs in return of BD300.
He was arrested in possession of foreign currencies, including 500 Saudi riyals and 500 UAE dirham. Two digital scales and eight pieces of hashish were also seized from his house.
