ASRY announces death of cleaning worker
ASRY announced yesterday the death of a Bangladeshi employee of one of its sub-contractors. He died in an accident on a vessel currently docked alongside at the yard.
The victim was reportedly in a tank he was cleaning onboard at the time of the incident.
He was taken immediately to the ASRY medical centre where he was pronounced dead, ASRY said in a press statement.
ASRY stated that a detailed investigation is now underway, in cooperation with the appropriate authorities, to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
