Training workshop by GPIC concludes

A workshop on training and development, held in collaboration with the British Institute of Leadership and Training, organised by Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company Academy of Leadership and Learning, concluded at the GPIC Club.

The session was attended by several company employees to reinforce a culture of training among them and to benefit GPIC in the long run.

Among the topics discussed were how to keep up with the competition and enhance the ability to adapt to changes. The importance of skills training and the means to explore new strategies of staff development as well as practice of good communication were also discussed.

The workshop came in line with the company’s strategy to strengthen its manpower by equipping them with the skills, providing them opportunities to change for the better, and developing their knowledge and abilities to prepare them to meet the demands of their jobs.

In a statement, GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery spoke about the important role of the Academy in organising such workshops.

He praised its ability to cope with and provide the latest training programmes that contribute towards raising the level of employees and developing their skills.

Dr. Jawahery said GPIC is currently pursuing policy to prepare and qualify its staff to enable them to take up management and leadership positions and revealed they had started this ambitious programme for youngsters to fill leadership positions.
