National Anti-cancer Committee holds meeting
Health Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Training and Planning Dr. Mohammed Amine Al-Awadhi chaired the meeting the National Anti-cancer Committee . The panel discussed updated statistics on the incidence of cancer in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ministry issues periodic reports providing updated oncological data, specifying the age categories, gender and nationalities of patients.
The updated statistics serve to determine the required resources to tackle the diseased, assess preventive and therapeutic programmes. Dr. Al-Awadhi urged all public and private health and medical facilities to report all cancer cases in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by Health Ministry officials, representatives of private hospitals and civil society institutions.
