New Indian School teacher dies

A long time Bahrain resident Judith Almeida, aged 55, died of illness on Friday.

She was a teacher in the New Indian School (NIS) Bahrain for the past eight years. She hails from the Indian state of Goa.

Almeida is survived by her husband Francis Almeida who works in Comsip and children Melissa Almeida, Mitzi Almeida and Melvy Almeida.

 Judith Almeida also worked in the English medium section of Pakistan Urdu School for long time before joining the New Indian School.

 The family has been leading an expat life in Bahrain for more than three decades. The body is kept in SMC mortuary. 

The funeral service will be held in her home town in India once the paper works are completed, informed the family sources.

 New Indian School Principal Dr V Gopalan expressed condolence on the sad demise of Judith Almeida and said that she was an excellent teacher who was loved by children  in the primary section of the school.
