HM King’s Visit to Youth City 2030 Highlights Support for Bahraini Youth
Shura Council Services Committee Chair Dr. Jamila Mohammed Redha Al Salman said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to Youth City 2030 reflects his continued support for Bahraini youth and confidence in their abilities to contribute to the Kingdom’s development.
Dr. Al Salman said the visit highlights His Majesty’s vision of investing in Bahraini people, particularly young people, as a key pillar of the country’s future and an important part of Bahrain’s development and modernisation efforts.
She noted that the legislative authority, represented by the Shura Council, plays an important role in supporting national efforts to empower youth, expand their participation across different fields and back programmes that help discover talents, develop skills and increase opportunities for young people to contribute to public life.
Dr. Al Salman also praised the continued support provided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for youth development and for creating an environment that encourages young Bahrainis to contribute to the Kingdom’s future.
She highlighted the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in supporting and developing the youth sector and strengthening the participation of Bahraini youth in national affairs.
Dr. Al Salman described Youth City 2030 as an important national model for investing in young people’s potential, offering training and development programmes designed to meet future needs and provide participants with skills and experience that can strengthen their readiness for the labour market and wider development opportunities.
She said the confidence placed in Bahraini youth by the leadership should motivate them to pursue excellence, assume national responsibilities and contribute to Bahrain’s aspirations for greater prosperity and progress.
Dr. Al Salman concluded by stressing that investing in youth is an investment in the nation’s future, while empowering and supporting them is a shared national responsibility requiring cooperation among state institutions and wider society.
