The Public Prosecution referred a defendant to the High Criminal Court over two cases involving allegations of falsifying official electronic records by entering false information into the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf’s electronic system.

According to the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Prosecution, the defendant allegedly entered incorrect mobile phone numbers when submitting claims for financial dues against 14 people in one case and nine in another.

Investigations found that the same two phone numbers were entered for the individuals and that both numbers belonged to the defendant.

The prosecution said the information was allegedly entered to prevent the affected individuals from receiving notifications about the claims and responding to them.

Statements from affected individuals and a Ministry employee, along with an examination of the electronic system, supported the findings, including evidence that notification messages were sent to the defendant’s numbers.

The two cases are scheduled to be heard by the High Criminal Court on August 18, 2026.
