Pension Payouts Topped BD740 Million Last Year
According to official statistics, total pension payments fell by 0.7 per cent from BD746.29 million in 2024. Monthly pension disbursements averaged more than BD61.7 million, highlighting the continued level of support provided to retirees and beneficiaries.
The public sector accounted for the largest share of payments at BD420.93 million, while the private sector received BD319.80 million.
Public sector pension payments declined by BD15.6 million compared with 2024, while private sector payouts rose by BD10.03 million, partially offsetting the overall decrease.
October recorded the highest monthly pension payments of the year at BD62.67 million, followed by December with BD62.41 million and November with BD62.38 million.
