Capital Governor Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa reaffirmed the governorate's commitment to enhancing public services and strengthening community partnerships during the weekly council meeting with community leaders, dignitaries, members of parliament and residents of the Capital Governorate.
The meeting, held as part of the governorate's ongoing approach to maintaining direct communication with citizens, reviewed a range of service-related needs and issues affecting various areas and villages across the capital. Participants also discussed key development projects and initiatives aimed at improving service quality and enhancing the urban environment to meet the expectations of citizens and residents.
The discussions reflected the leadership's continued focus on advancing government services, promoting direct engagement with the public, strengthening community partnerships and empowering young people. These efforts are carried out under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as part of Bahrain's comprehensive and sustainable development goals.
The council also highlighted the importance of continuing initiatives that encourage entrepreneurship among children and young people. Members discussed programmes designed to develop skills, foster innovation, promote self-employment and help young entrepreneurs transform their ideas into promising business ventures, contributing to Bahrain's economic and social development.
Sheikh Khalid said the weekly council remains one of the governorate's key platforms for engaging directly with residents, listening to their views and receiving suggestions. He stressed that the governorate is committed to following up on all observations and recommendations raised during the meetings and coordinating with the relevant authorities to study them and take appropriate action in the public interest while supporting Bahrain's ongoing development plans.
