Children Get a Lesson in Fire Safety
As part of its annual "Club Summer 3" programme, the Police Officers Club organized a field visit to the General Directorate of Civil Defence for 30 children of its members, giving them an opportunity to learn about fire safety and the vital role of Bahrain's Civil Defence.
The visit featured interactive awareness sessions, demonstrations of firefighting equipment and emergency response procedures, and a closer look at the work Civil Defence personnel carry out to protect lives and property.
The field trip is one of several activities under the club's "Club Summer 3" initiative, which has attracted nearly 800 children of members this year. The programme offers a mix of sports, awareness, entertainment and educational activities aimed at developing participants' skills and encouraging them to make productive use of their summer vacation.
Among the activities is also an interactive workshop titled "Our Values and Customs," which aims to reinforce authentic Bahraini values and traditions, alongside swimming lessons, mini tennis training, a summer football school, and Quran memorisation sessions.
The programme reflects a commitment to providing a safe and engaging summer environment that combines recreation, education and personal development, while helping children build new skills and confidence during the school holidays.
