Attacks Violate UN Charter

Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure strongly condemned repeated Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom's civilian and vital installations, calling them a flagrant violation of Bahrain's sovereignty, security and stability.

During its 312th meeting, the committee, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, stated that the strikes pose a direct threat to civilian lives and breach international law, the UN Charter, principles of good neighborliness, and international legitimacy resolutions.

Officials also denounced Iran's targeting of civil aviation navigation systems and transit air traffic under Bahrain's Flight Information Region, warning this endangers international civil aviation safety and the lives of passengers and crew.

The committee praised the Bahrain Defence Force, National Guard, Interior Ministry, and all military, security and civil agencies for protecting the kingdom's security.

The meeting opened with prayers for continued security and prosperity under King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Separately, the committee praised the Municipalities and Agriculture Ministry for removing unlicensed structures in Al Ramli, Northern Governorate, according to the area's approved development plan.

The committee also reviewed the Works Minister's field visit to Muharraq to inspect ongoing infrastructure projects.
