Bahrain Chairs GCC Judicial Meeting
The Public Prosecution of Bahrain chaired the meeting of the heads of judicial inspection bodies across GCC member states as part of the Kingdom's 2026 GCC Presidency.
Held via video conference, the meeting brought together representatives from public prosecution offices across the Gulf to discuss strengthening judicial oversight and enhancing professional standards.
Participants reviewed a unified set of guiding regulations for inspecting the work of prosecutors, aimed at improving the efficiency, transparency, accountability, and consistency of judicial practices across the GCC.
The proposed framework will now be submitted to the Assistant Attorneys General for further consideration, reflecting the region's continued commitment to advancing judicial cooperation and reinforcing the principles of justice.
