Shura Council Praises Arab Parliamentary Union's Role
The remarks came as the Union marked the 52nd anniversary of its establishment. Al Saleh sent congratulatory messages to Shaikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shaikh, Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council and President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, praising his efforts in promoting cooperation and coordination among Arab parliaments.
Al Saleh highlighted the Union’s role in addressing Arab issues and supporting parliamentary cooperation, stressing the importance of continued coordination to strengthen unified positions on matters of common interest.
He reaffirmed the Bahrain Shura Council’s commitment to supporting the Union’s objectives and enhancing consultation with Arab legislative bodies to promote greater cooperation and integration.
The Shura Council Speaker also congratulated Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Secretary-General Dr. Ahmed bin Alawi Baaboud, commending his efforts in developing the Union’s General Secretariat and advancing its mission.
