Bahrain, UAE Strengthen Security Ties

Interior Minister receives UAE counterpart's letter praising joint security operations

Minister of Interior, General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, His Excellency Fahad Mohammed Kurdus Al Ameri, this morning, in the presence of Major General Abdullah Mohammed Al Zayed, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior.

During the meeting, the Minister received a written letter from his counterpart, His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE. In the letter, Shaikh Saif praised the outstanding security efforts of Bahrain's Ministry of Interior, which led to the uncovering of a major network linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard and the ideology of Wilayat al-Faqih — and the arrest of several individuals involved in the criminal plot. 

The UAE expressed its full solidarity with Bahrain and complete support for all measures taken to preserve the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and stability. The letter also commended the professionalism and high performance of Bahrain's security services in confronting terrorist schemes.
