Parliament speaker warns over regional security threats

Speaker of the Parliament, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, reaffirmed the kingdom’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the European Union, particularly in trade, investment and broader strategic partnerships.
He made the remarks during a meeting on Sunday with a European Parliament delegation led by MEP Reinhold Lopatka, highlighting Bahrain’s leadership under HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in advancing international engagement.
Al Musallam welcomed the European Union’s solidarity with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states amid regional tensions and he reiterated Bahrain’s position that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for achieving long-term regional stability
The Speaker also referred to the impact of Iranian attacks on civilian and strategic sites, which he said caused casualties and material damage.
