"The programme evolves through continuous assessment, ensuring it delivers impact while expanding partnerships with leading institutions." - Minister Rawan Najeeb Tawfeeqi
Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Najeeb Tawfeeqi announced the launch of the sixth edition of the national youth development initiative “Lamea,” which aims to strengthen youth empowerment and nurture future leaders.
The programme reflects the vision of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, which places Bahraini youth at the centre of national development as a key driver of the future.
Tawfiqi said the new edition introduces an upgraded format aligned with evolving global trends, including more advanced challenges and a stronger focus on modern technologies and future skills. The programme will also expand its scope to include institutional governance concepts and broader applications of artificial intelligence, while linking academic knowledge with practical training through modern methodologies.
Since its launch in 2021, the programme has attracted around 2,260 applicants through its first five editions, producing a pool of young Bahraini talents who have demonstrated excellence across various sectors.
The initiative aims to identify high-potential youth through merit-based selection and develop their capabilities via advanced training programmes that simulate real-world challenges, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled national talent.
Registration for the sixth edition opened on Saturday and will run until May 17 via the programme’s official website.
