Khalid Eid Adam Redefines Watch Design

Bahraini watch designer Khalid Eid Adam is gaining international attention with the launch of his signature timepiece, “Al Khalida,” a limited-edition luxury watch that has begun attracting interest from watch enthusiasts in London and across Europe.

The design combines bold aesthetics, mechanical precision, and a strong creative identity rooted in his personal journey. “Al Khalida” reflects a new approach in luxury watchmaking, where storytelling, symbolism, and exclusivity are as important as technical performance.

In a highly competitive global industry, the watch represents a rising creative voice from Bahrain aiming to position itself on the international luxury stage.

Khalid Eid Adam’s passion for watches began at the age of five when his father gifted him his first timepiece. That early moment developed into a lifelong fascination that evolved into a deeper appreciation for watch design as both an art form and a technical discipline.

One of his early challenges was introducing a squareshaped watch design into a market dominated by traditional round styles. Although initially met with hesitation, the design eventually gained strong acceptance and positive response.

The process behind each watch design is complex and multi-layered, starting from inspiration and concept development to storytelling, engineering, and final production. Adam notes that some global luxury brands may take up to 20 years to refine a single watch before release.

His latest creation, “Al Khalida,” has received notable attention from watch collectors and enthusiasts in London and Europe, generating strong discussion within niche luxury communities.

The watch is produced in a strictly limited edition of 50 pieces worldwide, enhancing its exclusivity. It is priced at approximately 200 Bahraini Dinars, placing it within the accessible luxury segment.

The timepiece is crafted from polished stainless steel, finished with a surface inspired by baguette-cut diamonds, giving it a refined luxury appearance. It is powered by an automatic movement, reflecting traditional mechanical watchmaking heritage.

Its crystal glass features a curved, diamond-inspired contour, while the dial is made of natural mother-of-pearl (nacre), giving each piece a unique reflective texture that changes with light.

The name “Al Khalida” was chosen for two reasons: first, its connection to the designer’s identity and brand vision, and second, to symbolize timelessness and permanence reflecting a watch meant to go beyond time itself and become a lasting legacy.
