Residents of Sitra described moments of shock and destruction after debris from intercepted drones fell in the area on April 4, damaging homes, vehicles, and surrounding property.
“People were at home with their families, feeling safe, and suddenly everything changed. “Smok was everywhere and didn’t clear easily,” the resident told Al Ayam, describing the scene as chaotic and difficult to process.
Another resident reported serious structural damage to a house, stating that parts of the building were destroyed. “The wall was broken and the roof collapsed. Luckily, no children were inside. If anyone had been there, they could have been seriously hurt,” the witness added, noting that nearby homes and cars were also affected.
Despite the damage, residents in Sitra also praised the swift and professional response of Civil Defence and relevant authorities. They commended the rapid action taken to save lives and ensure safety, noting that emergency teams quickly transported and assisted affected individuals and managed the situation with effective coordination. Many said Bahrain’s forces appeared well-prepared for such incidents and acknowledged their efficient handling of the aftermath.
