The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announced that its air defense systems continue to successfully counter successive waves of what it described as Iranian “terrorist” attacks targeting the Kingdom.
According to the statement, since the beginning of the escalation, Bahrain’s air defenses have intercepted and destroyed a total of 182 missiles and 400 drones aimed at the country.
The General Command praised the high level of combat readiness and vigilance demonstrated by its personnel, expressing pride in their operational efficiency and ongoing efforts to safeguard the Kingdom. It emphasized that the performance of the forces reinforces public confidence, assuring that Bahrain’s skies remain protected.
Authorities also urged the public to exercise maximum caution for their safety, advising residents to stay away from affected locations and avoid approaching suspicious objects. Citizens and residents were further instructed not to film military operations or sites where debris has fallen, and to refrain from spreading rumors.
The statement stressed the importance of relying on official sources and government media outlets for accurate updates, alerts, and safety instructions.
The General Command added that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian infrastructure and private property constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, warning that such attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
