The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has announced that the Kingdom’s air defence systems continue to successfully counter waves of Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain.
According to the statement, Bahrain’s air defence units have intercepted and destroyed 154 missiles and 362 drones since the beginning of what officials described as “terrorist and unlawful assaults” on the Kingdom.
The BDF praised the high level of combat readiness and vigilance demonstrated by its personnel, highlighting their operational efficiency in safeguarding the nation’s airspace. The command expressed pride in the forces’ performance, stating that their efforts reinforce confidence in the Kingdom’s security and protection.
Authorities have urged the public to exercise maximum caution, avoid damaged or affected areas, and stay away from any suspicious objects. Citizens and residents were also warned against filming military operations or locations where debris has fallen, and advised not to spread rumors.
The BDF emphasized the importance of relying only on official sources and government media channels for accurate updates, alerts, and safety instructions.
In its statement, the General Command strongly condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones targeting civilian areas and private property, describing such actions as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. Officials added that these attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
