HM King commends Cyprus for standing with Kingdom

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed appreciation for the positions of Cyprus and the solidarity expressed by its President, Nikos Christodoulides, towards the Kingdom of Bahrain regarding the Iranian attacks.
This came as HM the King, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom.
During the meeting, they addressed regional developments.
Solidarity
Dr. Kombos reiterated Cyprus’s solidarity with Bahrain, its condemnation of the Iranian attacks, and its support for measures taken to safeguard the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and stability.
He also commended Bahrain’s diplomatic efforts at the United Nations Security Council, including the adoption of Resolution 2817 with support from 136 countries.
The Cypriot minister conveyed the greetings of President Christodoulides and his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the people of Bahrain.
His Majesty relayed his greetings and best wishes to the Cypriot President and the people of Cyprus.
He welcomed Dr. Kombos’ visit and underscored the importance of such visits in advancing cooperation and strengthening partnerships in line with existing agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries.
HM King Hamad and the minister reviewed means to further develop relations and advance cooperation across different domains.
Dr. Kombos expressed appreciation for HM the King’s role in advancing relations and strengthening ties between the two countries.
