Model park on way in Madinat Khalifa

The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture said it has begun detailed designs for what it called a model park in Madinat Khalifa, Block 957, on plot number 12016095, with a total area of 1,844 square metres.
The ministry said the work is being prepared with a number of government bodies and that the project is due to begin in the latter half of 2026.
The scheme also includes a mosque, a majlis for residents of the constituency and shops for the area. The ministry said the park, mosque, majlis and shops would be designed as one linked site to form a lively focal point in the city.
The Southern Municipal Council backed the proposal. It said the project would help bring people together and encourage sport and outdoor activity in a safe and suitable place.
