Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Racing Club, highlighted the importance of integrating modern, sustainable solutions into the club’s development projects. These efforts aim to ensure the long-term sustainability of Bahrain’s horse racing sector while reinforcing the club’s role as a leading sports and tourism hub and supporting the Kingdom’s broader development agenda under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
During a meeting with His Excellency Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed, Chairman of the Electricity and Water Authority, both sides reviewed ongoing cooperation in renewable energy projects. The discussion focused on adopting innovative technologies to enhance infrastructure and operational efficiency while promoting sustainability.
Shaikh Isa emphasized that the club’s solar energy generation project is a key part of its ongoing development, improving operational performance and modernizing facilities. He also highlighted that the power purchase agreement with the Electricity and Water Authority strengthens collaboration on sustainable energy initiatives.
Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed expressed appreciation for Shaikh Isa’s efforts to foster partnerships that advance horse racing and renewable energy development, wishing the club continued success.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Yousif Osama Bu Haji, member of the Supreme Committee and acting CEO of the Rashid Equestrian and Racing Club, and Engineer Ali Al Nuaim, Vice Chairman for Electricity Affairs at the Electricity and Water Authority, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
