Minor Fire Contained at Salmaniya Medical Complex

Government Hospitals confirmed that, in coordination with the General Directorate of Civil Defense, a minor fire that broke out in the Al Fateh Building at the Salmaniya Medical Complex was swiftly brought under control. The incident was handled immediately, allowing the fire to be contained quickly and preventing its spread, with no injuries reported.

In a statement, Government Hospitals said specialized teams promptly implemented approved safety and security protocols to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and medical staff. As a precautionary measure, the Al Fateh Building will be temporarily closed for three days to complete inspections and confirm the building’s readiness before resuming normal operations.

The statement added that patients with scheduled appointments will be contacted to reschedule them for later dates. To ensure continuity of healthcare services, emergency cases will be distributed among other clinics and medical facilities, in coordination with primary healthcare centers, to avoid any disruption or delays in patient care.

Government Hospitals expressed their sincere appreciation to the General Directorate of Civil Defense and all concerned teams for their rapid response and efficient handling of the incident.
