HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Attends Launch of Husain Ali Yateem Biography

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended today the launch of the biography of renowned Bahraini businessman Husain Ali Yateem, alongside the inauguration of an accompanying exhibition.

During the event, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reflected on Bahrain’s rich history in trade and industry, highlighting the Kingdom’s continued achievements that have strengthened its regional and international standing. His Royal Highness stressed that Bahraini business families have played a central role in the nation’s progress and comprehensive development, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the importance of documenting the lives of Bahrain’s business pioneers, noting that Husain Ali Yateem stands as one of the most prominent figures in the Kingdom’s commercial sector. His Royal Highness praised Yateem’s significant contributions to the national economy, adding that his experience serves as an inspiring model for future generations.

His Royal Highness further emphasised that initiatives which preserve the journeys of Bahrain’s business leaders are vital in showcasing the determination, resilience, and innovation that have long characterised Bahraini society.

The biography traces key milestones in Husain Ali Yateem’s business career and his lasting impact on Bahrain’s commercial landscape. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the efforts of those involved in writing the biography and curating the exhibition, noting their dedication to documenting the Kingdom’s economic history.

The launch coincided with the release of two books detailing Yateem’s life: “Husain Ali Yateem: The Brighton Student, The Sage of Manama” and “Husain Ali Yateem: The Three Palm Trees, A Biography of Transformations.” Both works highlight his role in Bahrain’s economic transformation and the broader social changes witnessed across the region over the past century.

An accompanying art and biography exhibition titled “Husain Ali Yateem: A Biography of Transformation” is being held at the Bahrain National Theatre and will run until 20 February 2026. The exhibition offers an in-depth exploration of Yateem’s legacy through written records and visual displays, marking a significant milestone in documenting Bahrain’s economic development.

Also in attendance were His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; and a number of senior officials.
