Bahrain Calls for Expanded Arab–India Collaboration Across Key Sectors

Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations, headed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation to the ministerial meeting of the second session of the Arab–India Cooperation Forum, held in New Delhi, India. The meeting was co-chaired by the League of Arab States and the Republic of India and aimed at strengthening cooperation and partnership between the Arab countries and India.

During the meeting, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting and advancing Arab–Indian cooperation across various fields, particularly in politics, economy and investment, energy, and technology. He stressed that enhancing collaboration in these sectors serves mutual interests and contributes to sustainable development.

He also highlighted the importance of the Arab–India Cooperation Forum as a strategic and vital platform for dialogue, coordination, and the exchange of views on regional and international issues of common concern. He pointed to the deep-rooted historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India, noting their continuous growth and development at all levels.

On the sidelines of the forum, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the heads of the participating delegations.

Bahrain’s delegation also included Ambassador Ahmed Al-Tarifi, Head of the Arab and African Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
