On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, took part today in the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace Charter at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The Charter was also signed by Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, and Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco, formally recognising the Board of Peace as an international organisation. Representatives from several other countries also signed the Charter.
During the ceremony, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman said that under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and following the directives of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain continues to support international efforts that promote peace, sustainable development, and a better future for all.
His Highness expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for President Trump’s efforts to promote peace at the regional and global levels, and voiced hope that the Board of Peace will enhance cooperation, support stability, and encourage development.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman also reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the full implementation of the peace plan proposed by President Trump for the Gaza Strip, which includes 20 points and stresses the protection of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
He praised the role of the United States and its allies in strengthening security, stability, and peace in the region and worldwide, noting their contribution to development across various sectors.
The Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court further stressed the importance of strengthening the long-standing strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States, highlighting that continued cooperation serves the interests of both countries and their people.
