IPA, Georgetown University Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Training and Executive Education

Manama: Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), received Elie Farhat, Associate Dean and Chief of External Affairs at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, as part of efforts to enhance academic and institutional cooperation in training, capacity building, and executive education.

During the meeting, Dr. Shaikha Rana highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships with leading international universities to support the development of high-quality training and executive programmes. She noted that such collaboration facilitates the exchange of expertise and best practices, contributes to preparing national leaders, and enhances institutional performance in line with the IPA’s strategic objectives.

The discussions also covered opportunities for joint cooperation in designing and implementing specialised training and executive programmes, as well as ways to expand collaboration across various sectors to achieve shared goals.

For his part, Elie Farhat commended the IPA’s role in developing competencies and building institutional capacities, expressing his commitment to strengthening cooperation with the institute in the areas of training and executive education.
