A cooperation agreement was signed today between the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Awqaf, represented by His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawada, and the Royal University for Girls, represented by Professor Dr. Riyadh Youssef Hamza. The agreement aims to strengthen scientific and professional collaboration between the Ministry’s Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies and the university in the fields of legal studies and professional training.

His Excellency the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs highlighted the importance of this cooperation in supporting legal and professional development programs. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to continuing partnerships with national academic institutions to enhance the skills of Bahraini legal professionals and equip them with modern capabilities required in the legal and judicial sectors.

Professor Dr. Riyadh Youssef Hamza expressed the university’s pride in signing the agreement and stressed its readiness to contribute to advancing legal education, exchanging academic and professional expertise, and preparing qualified legal cadres capable of keeping pace with developments in legal sciences.

Judge Dr. Riyadh Mohammed Sayyadi, Director of the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies, described the agreement as a strategic step toward improving the quality of professional legal training in Bahrain. He noted that the collaboration would help develop specialized training programs aligned with the needs of the legal sector and the requirements of judicial authorities, supporting national efforts to strengthen the justice system.

The memorandum also focuses on initiatives to enhance and sustain foundational programs for students and lawyers, preparing national legal talents through professional training programs and specialized academic content. Both parties will exchange scientific and practical expertise in legal education and training, including designing and implementing specialized programs, coordinating joint events and activities, and benefiting from the university’s expertise in information technology, multimedia, digital transformation, and academic quality and accreditation.
